From the Ballpark to the Driving Range to The Hudson: How Mission North Celebrates on Both Coasts

Mission North loves a good offsite -- we've done everything from scavenger hunts and Escape the Room to cooking classes and karaoke. To recognize our hard work this past quarter, we ventured out on both coasts for a Giants game, a boat ride down the Hudson River and an afternoon at the driving range. From San Francisco to Portland to Brooklyn, here's how we celebrated.

San Francisco

Take me out to the ball game! The San Francisco crew enjoyed a matchup of the SF Giants vs. Pittsburgh Pirates at Oracle Park on an unseasonably warm and sunny afternoon.

Though the Giants lost, it was a winning day for Mission North San Francisco. We spent the day eating, drinking and bonding in the 88-degree sunshine.

Brooklyn

The Brooklyn team enjoyed our offsite aboard the Clipper City. It was a great day for a sail on the 158-foot schooner that took us from Battery City out past the Statue of Liberty on a 90-minute adventure featuring a lovely spread of food and drinks, beautiful views, some sail-hoisting and the best company.

Back on land, we marched over to the Pier A Harbor House for fried snacks and libations while we decided on our final destination: trivia at Murphy's Tavern. Over nachos and pitchers, we learned that some of our team members have a much better trove of obscure knowledge than others.

Portland

Mission North Portland's first-ever offsite was a swinging success. We spent the afternoon at TopGolf, where we confirmed that none of our existing crew will be leaving for the PGA/WPGA tour any time soon. While there's no photo evidence, we had a great time.

Special kudos to our wonderful server, who saved us from making the mistake of ordering their "Golf Bag" drink, which it turns out is made of toxic jet fuel. TL;DR: We laughed, we learned, we avoided food poisoning... and we're excited to keep exploring Portland, one offsite at a time.

Does this sound like the kind of work culture you could get into? We're hiring across roles and offices. Learn more about Mission North and check out our open positions here.
